Here’s What’s Cropping Up for Bushels of FUN!

Grandstand Shows
The “Home of the Stars” continues its famous tradition with a strong 2003 line-up. Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 26 for Alan Jackson with Joe Nichols, An Evening With Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Brooks & Dunn with Rascal Flatts.  Find out prices and ways to get tickets to the best shows featuring the biggest names in entertainment!  You’ll find out why our Grandstand page will be one of your favorites.

RCN Farmerama Theater
One of the nicest spots on the Fairgrounds, the RCN Farmerama Theater offers talent contests and special performances that are FREE all fairweek.  The entertainment is reminiscent of the Fair’s early days when friends and neighbors performed for one another. While the Theater’s attractions are for all ages, we’re especially proud to showcase our youth and give senior citizens special programming.  The full schedule will be posted as soon as it’s completed, so check back often.

Music Festival at  Pepsi Plaza
From polka to pop, from country to patriotic, from contemporary to nostalgic, the music to listen and dance to has never been better! Jimmy Sturr, Walt Groller, Bobby Mercer, Glenn Miller and more are back with new addition, country group, Cimarron. Back by popular demand, Wade Henry, a hilarious unicyclist and juggler, will visit Pepsi Plaza’s food court area often. The full schedule will be posted as soon as it’s completed, so check back.

Variety Show Tent
The king of swing, rock ‘n’ roll and pop, Bobby Mercer and his Road Show band hold court every night in one of the Fair’s most raucous, fun places to be all week. Before Bobby heats up the nights, the Raggs Kids Club Band will rock with afternoon and early evening performances. The bright blue hound RAGGS and his group of furry canine friends will perform hits from four award-winning CDs. This FREE entertainment is so much of what an ole-time family fun fair is all about!

Special FREE Shows
Your knees will be a knockin’ when The Nerveless Nocks, a death-defying stunt team, perform incredible acrobatic tricks on their towering sway poles and rotating double space wheel.  They also zoom on motorcycles inside the amazing globe of thunder! Back with more adorable antics, Welde’s Big Bear Show and Exhibit returns to educate and charm you with beautiful brown bears.  Both of these great shows are FREE!

S & S Magical Midway
Ride and play all day (and all night) on the spectacular carnival midway with over 100 rides, games and shows. For great bargains, check out all the ride specials.  New rides and activities will be featured as the countdown to the Fair continues.
